Aşı Bay Guide

Pine-covered slopes run down to the rocks, and at their foot a turquoise bay opens up. About 24 km from our hotel, Aşı Bay takes a while to reach but offers one of the most striking sea views around Dalyan. In summer, with its sunbeds, café and boats mooring at the jetty, it becomes a lively beach day out.

The turquoise water, pine-covered slopes and beach of Aşı Bay

Why Aşı Bay?

The real strength of Aşı Bay is that it combines nature with comfort. With the pine forest and rocks behind you, you look out over water shifting from turquoise to green. In the summer season, sunbeds and parasols, a café and a floating jetty reaching into the sea mean you do not have to bring everything with you.

That also makes the bay popular with day visitors and boat tours, so the shore can be lively and crowded on summer days. If you want a wider, more spacious beach, Sarıgerme may suit you better. For a broad bay at the end of a slightly rough road, try Kargıcak.

How to get there from Dalyan

  • Via Sarıgerme: Drive about 20 minutes from Dalyan to the Sarıgerme area, then continue for about another 14 km.
  • Via the Ovacık road: You can also reach the bay on an unpaved road. It can be challenging, especially after rain, so consider whether your vehicle is suitable.
  • By boat: Some boat tours from Dalyan and Marmaris stop at Aşı Bay. Routes change with the season, so confirm before departure.

Stop by before you set off and we will happily share what we know about current road conditions.

What to bring

  • Water shoes or sturdy sandals, as the shore can be pebbly
  • Sunscreen and a hat
  • A way to pay for sunbeds, food and drink; ask the operator about charges
  • Drinking water, as services may not be available out of season
  • A full tank of fuel, as there may be no petrol station nearby

A suggested day trip

Leave early in the morning and settle in at the bay before the shore fills up. Plan your way back via Sarıgerme for a short late-afternoon stop, then return to Dalyan and watch the Kaunos rock tombs from the riverside at sunset. In a single day, this route combines a turquoise bay, a wide beach and a historic view.
